Join the Honey Producers Cooperative of Zimbabwe

Let’s Make Honey Work for You

Beekeeping is one of the hidden treasures in Zimbabwe. Our country has the perfect weather and environment to produce pure, natural honey. But many people who keep bees struggle to find markets, proper equipment, and the right support. That’s why the Honey Producers Cooperative of Zimbabwe was started — to help local honey producers grow their businesses and earn better incomes.

The Cooperative brings together small and large honey producers from all over the country. Whether you are already producing honey or want to start, the Cooperative gives you a home — a place where you are supported, trained, and helped to succeed.

Why We Started the Cooperative

Many Zimbabweans are already producing honey, but most do it on a small scale. They often sell their honey to middlemen at low prices. There’s little access to proper equipment, no branding, and almost no chance to export. We believe that if we work together as producers, we can create one strong brand, share resources, and sell more honey at better prices — even to markets outside Zimbabwe.

What You Get as a Member

When you join the Cooperative, you become part of a community. You will receive training in modern beekeeping so you can increase your honey yield. You’ll learn how to care for your bees, how to harvest properly, and how to avoid losses. We also help members access equipment like beehives, suits, smokers, and extractors — things that are often too expensive to buy alone.

The Cooperative also works on finding markets for your honey. Instead of selling your honey individually, we combine what all our members produce and sell it in bulk to supermarkets, companies, and even for export. This means more sales, more income, and more stability.

We Are Building for the Future

We’re now working on setting up honey processing and packaging centres around the country. These centres will help us clean, package, and brand our honey properly so it can be sold in big shops and exported. We want Zimbabwean honey to be recognised worldwide for its quality.

To make this dream a reality, we are raising money through what is called a debenture — this is a way for people to invest in the Cooperative and get interest on their money. Each debenture costs just US$1, and you get 10% interest every year for three years. After three years, you get your money back. This money will help us buy equipment, build processing centres, and grow faster. You can invest and earn — even if you are not a beekeeper.

Why You Should Join

If you’re a beekeeper or want to become one, this Cooperative is for you. It’s affordable to join, and you don’t have to do it alone. You get support, training, access to equipment, and a ready market. You also get a say in how the Cooperative is run — this is your business too. You are not just a worker or supplier — you are a member-owner.

We believe in working together, building together, and sharing the rewards. Our honey can change lives, feed families, and grow our country’s economy.

How to Join

It’s easy. Just contact us by email or WhatsApp and we will guide you through the registration process. You’ll need to pay a small joining fee and a monthly subscription to keep your membership active. You can also visit our office in Harare.
