The Confederation of Cooperative Services Apex (COCSA) is a cooperative services apex body which was registered in September 2016. The organisation was formed as a result of a gap in access to comprehensive information about cooperatives in general, as well as the gap in service provision and capacity building of cooperatives. COCSA also is there to provide products and services to it’s members by creating cooperative institutions in order to strengthen them, whilst monitoring compliance to statutory obligations outlined in the Cooperative Societies Act and the Cooperative Policy. The organisation is also a registered entity and hence a legal persona.
